We had an amazing 2 day wildlife trip. Our guide Tata and his niece Joanne were very kind, enthusiastic and did everything they could to increase our chances of seeing as much wildlife as possible.

Our guide Tata was really passionated about the wildlife. When we spotted the elephants, gibbons and hornbill, he was just as excited as we were. He also could imitate some of the birds. All in all, we had a lovely trip!

We booked a two day private tour with night tour and I cannot recommend it enough. We had a private guide and could go where we wanted without waiting for a crowded truck and big group. Our guide June (not sure of spelling, sorry!) was AMAZING!! She was friendly, committed, and offered so much information about wildlife, local history, etc. She could quickly spot animals in the thick bush, including at night. We saw around 22 wild elephants right in front of us, including many babies, and countless gibbons and their babies, both black and white -as well as pretty much everything else on the park list. Highly recommend the night tour, we saw porcupines, jackals, birds, elephants, owls. And even when you don't see wildlife, there are hikes, mountains and views -and the food was delicious. On a side note, we stayed at the Muthi Maya and it was a wonderful serene oasis.

We had 2 fantastic days in the park. Our guide was very friendly and was able to show us many animals on our tour through the park. He gave us a lot of information about the flora and fauna and his English was very good! We can recommend the tour 100%! In the two days we spotted elephants, deer, scorpions, 2 species of gibbons, snakes, horbill's and many more bird species.

The night safari was a bit disappointing. All guests on the safari in kind have to change cars and are assigned a driver and a guide. Afterwards, 10 or more cars drive a short loop through the park one after the other. All of the guides are wildly flashing their headlights and if they spot something, they stop briefly and continue on their way. It is not possible to watch the animals for any length of time. Our guide could not influence the course of events.

All in all, it was a great experience and very well organized!

Thank you!

Thanks for your review Rene.

It's unfortunate the night safari was a bit disappointing. It sometimes is, and that's why like we did in our first message to you, we always inform our guests about how these night drives are operated and that we have no influence on the quality of these.

But glad to hear you had a great time in the daytime. During the day our guides are fully in control (for as far as park regulations allow).

Thanks for your feedback!

We did the 2 day Khao Yai tour with Jun. Very enjoyable visit, Jun was great at spotting animals that you would never have seen if driving by yourself. We saw lots of gibbons, monkeys and hornbills as well as finding Elephants and even a binturong! She also took some great photos on our iPhone using the telescopic lens. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly.

Our guide (Klin) has the eyes of an eagle and found so many interesting animals for us! We were lucky to see elephants really close up on two separate occasions and each time we had a perfect view. A two hour walk through the jungle was another highlight and offered the chance to see ( and hear!!!) gibbons close up. A truely memorable experience and excellent value for money —- highly recommendable Thank you Klin , and your driver ! Paul and Mariele Stevenson

It’s hard to find words to describe how much we loved our time in Khao Yai National park. We did a 2 day safari. First I want to give credit for our amazing guide Tata. He is kind, funny and dedicated and definitely doing his job with a full heart. His knowledge and patience gave us amazing sighthings of the wildlife. He was driving us around really calmly and pulled over when he spotted something interesting. Our highlights were observing a family of gibbons in the forest and seeing wild elephants in their natural habitat. The whole experience was really enjoyable and interesting. The nature in this National park is untouched and beautiful. I would do it again anytime. Thank you Khao Yai and Thank you Tata!
