Doi Inthanon National Park adventure tour (rainy season)
This tour is available only during the rainy season from 1st of June until 31st October.
Also known as "The Roof of Thailand", Doi Inthanon is the highest point in Thailand at 2,565 meters above the sea level. Locally known mostly for its cool weather all year round, it is one of the best national parks in northern Thailand, home to many waterfalls and a popular destination for birders. The park has a great diversity of forest types throughout different altitudes. At the higher altitudes the forests are humid all year round.
A day-tour in Doi Inthanon National Park includes hiking, visiting the highest point in Thailand, Two Chedis, waterfalls and Hmong hill-tribe market.
This is an example itinerary. The program may change depending on weather conditions, accessibility issues or any other obstacles. On eventual change of the itinerary we always make sure that the quality of our guests experience and personal safety are safeguarded.
From 8 a.m. to about 5-6 p.m.
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel with a a/c minibus 8 a.m. in the early morning. Our first stop will be the summit of Doi Inthanon which is the highest point in Thailand, we will drive all the way to the top. After spending some time at the top and enjoying the view we will visit the Two Chedis that has been constructed to honour 60th birthday anniversaries of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit. Before the afternoon session we will stop by at a Hmong market where products from the Royal Project are for sale and eat lunch at a local restaurant.
After the lunch, we will get to the starting point of the Doi Inthanon trekking for a two hours long trekking accompanied by a Karen guide. Along this route we will cross a river several times, see a majestic multi-tiered waterfall cascading towards a Karen village called Ban Mae Klang Luang where our trek ends. At the village we will spend some time to learn about coffee cultivation. You can taste a delicious cup of Mae Klang Luang coffee, if you like. On the late afternoon you will be taken back to your hotel.

Many thanks to Jum and Gaeo for the wonderful trip. We book an one-day safari with night tour. This was the first time we were in the jungle and it was thrilling. Jum has a lot of knowledge which was very interesting to us. We saw animals we usually would have overlooked. We had nice foods, snack and plenty of water because Jum and Gaeo took care of us. They brought a telescope and binoculars which were essential for seeing the wildlife. We wish Jum and Gaeo all the best and fully recommended joining their tour.

I recently traveling to Thailand for about a week and had the opportunity to spend one of the days during out trip exploring Khao Yai National Park with Ton as our tour guide. I can honestly say that our day to the park was the highlight of my trip!
Ton was extremely knowledgable about the park and its wildlife, while also being a kind and fun tour guide throughout the day. Ton helped us see a wide variety of birds, a number of snakes and lizards, as well as quite a view mammals throughout the day as we drove around in a safari vehicle and did some hiking. I had also recently purchased a new camera that I am still learning how to use, and Ton was extremely kind and went about and beyond in helping me to use my camera to get some great photos of the animals that we were seeing!
I would highly recommend a visit to Khao Yai and a tour with Ton to anyone going to Thailand who enjoys wildlife and the outdoors.

Visiting Kui Buri National Park with our 2 kids (1 year and 3 years) was an amazing experience and definitely highlight of our holiday in Thailand. Our guide was very knowledgeable and patient with spotting animals. In fact, we believe that he was the reason why we were able to see 10 elephants and several other animals during our trip. Additionally we highly assess their flexibility. They knew that we’re family with little kids so they sugessted we can make our trip shorter as March tends to be hot and animals would probably show up only later in the afternoon. This way we saved our kids an hour waiting in the sun while still saw many animals. Our kids were crazy about this trip!
Tour operator's response
Thanks Marta for your kind words.
Good to hear you and your kids enjoyed the trip in Kui Buri.

We had 1.5 day trip and it was amazing. In the first day we saw millions of bats, really crazy. The second full day was inside the park with very nice and super professional guide that took us into the wild jungle of the National Park and knew exactly where to find all the wild life. I’ve had perfect English and we were only 4 people in the tour so it was just perfect. Thank you Jay (we called him “National Jay-ographic” 😝) and thanks for Thai National Park tours. It was really nice organized!

The trip was awesome! First, we had the best guide Ghaan. Her english was perfect, she was always on time, full of energy, well informed, helpful. She made sure that we had the best possible experience! Transport service and the driver were very good, as well as the food that we had. I was also positively impressed by the park itself. I have beet to a number of national parks in the US, India and China and Khao Yai is one of the best. I will certainly recommend the part and your firm to others. If you want more information about our experience, do not hesitate to ask :) Best regards! Audrius
