Private Tour | 1-day wildlife tour in Khao Yai
Khao Yai National Park deserves more than just a 1 day visit, but for those with limited time a daytour is still a great way to get a taste of the jungle.
The reserve is great for wildlife watching, but with just one day you will need quite a bit of luck.
A daytour in Khao Yai contains hiking, safari drives, a visit to a waterfall and a scenic viewpoint. A mix of wildlife watching and enjoying scenery.
This is an example itinerary. The program might be changed due to weather conditions, accessibility issues or any other obstacles.
Day 1 From 8 a.m. to about 6 p.m.
We will meet you at your hotel or other pick-up location we agreed on.
The daytrip starts with a drive looking for wildlife like gibbons, hornbills, macaques and other animals along the road. And afterwards we head to a trailhead to set out on a jungle hike to learn more about the forest inhabitants and the plantlife. Even if you're not lucky with wildlife encounters, the massive strangler fig trees make it all worthwhile. By the end of this walk we'll have a Thai lunch at one of the park restaurants.
We continue the program with a visit to one of Khao Yai's famous waterfalls known from Leonardio Di Caprio's "The Beach" movie, and the late afternoon we spend mostly by car to check the various saltlicks and foraging areas where elephants might show up.
At the end of the trip, you will be returned to your hotel or other destination we agreed on.

Great; Guide in time.
But let us alone to go to the Falls two times. Would be nice to be accompanied for the walk (1km go and back) and describe the surrounding forest

A Nice guide, good hike in the forest. No water at the waterfall and no elephant, not a good season for this tour so maybe a little bit expansive.

It was wonderful! The guide was nice and knew a lot about animals and birds.
All together (8 people) we recommend this safari day.

We had an awesome day and a lot of fun at khai yai national park. The pick up from our hotel in Bangkok worked very well. Special thanks to our guide Tata who made this trip unforgettable and absolutely memorable to us! He was very interested in giving us the best possible trip and knows a lot about the animals and the jungle; he heard sounds we didn't even notice.
Luckily he was our guide. Without him the trip would have been only half that good. It was absolutely enjoyable having him as a guide.

We spent a wonderfull day in Khao Yai National Park. We had a really great guide very friendly, proffessional and amusing. Thanks to Noi, our guide, who knows everything about jungle, we saw lots of species of animals, We were tracking elephants to see them in the nature. And...we did it. We saw them in the most scenic enviroment. It was really exciting adventure.

We ordered a private 1-day wildlife tour in Khao Yai and it was a wounderful trip with the tour guide called Lake. It was easy to see that he has been doing this for a longe time. He noticed animals everywhere that we definately wouldn’t have spotted ourselves. Amongst the different animals, we saw Gibbons, beautiful green snakes... and at last but not least, we had the most breathtaking ending to our tour where we were so lucky to experience an elephant family stepping out of the jungle and crossed the road.
Thank you soo much, Lake for everything
