Group Tour | Tour at WFFT – Rescued wild animals

This tour is managed by WFFT Thailand, they do not offer any tours inside the national park. Please do not send any national park related enquiries from this page.

Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand is a non-govermental wildlife rescue organisation in Tha Yang District of Phetchaburi Province, just north of Hua Hin, and in around 2.5 driving distance from Bangkok. They are taking care of hundreds of rescued wild animals such as elephants, monkeys, bears, gibbons and many more. Their main goal is to rehabilitate and release these animals back safely into the wild, when this is not possible they will offer lifetime care to these creatures.

Unlike all so called "elephant sanctuaries" across the country run by private companies for business purposes, WFFT is the only safe place in Thailand truly dedicated for animals well being. It is safe to say that WFFT is the only place in Thailand where you can get close to some elephants without having second thoughts about ethical concerns.

What’s on offer?

A daytrip at WFFT will involve a guided tour through their premises, learning about the rescued animals, observing some of the hundreds of creatures they house and get up close and personal to some of the elephants in a way that does not exploit them.

Half-day Experience

The tour will involve a guided tour (English or Thai)  around the animal rescue center where you will get to see 600+ animals including gibbons, bears, macaques, elephants, langurs and many more. You will learn of their background stories and why they are at the rescue center.

The tour will run all morning until lunch is served for everyone at 12:00 noon. A traditional Thai buffet including meat, vegetarian and vegan options will be available. Additional snacks, soft drinks, smoothies etc. can be purchased from our bar so you can enjoy a drink with your lunch.

The tour begins at WFFT 10:15 am and finishes 1 pm at WFFT (departure time).

Full Day Experience:

The full day experience follows the same schedule as the half-day experience up until lunch but then continues on afterwards with more activities revolving around the animals. This includes an elephant meet and greet, and a tour of the Elephant Refuge.
